THE ARTIST
Frank Gibson
A South Florida native, Frank Gibson is a photographer and visual storyteller devoted to capturing the natural wonders of his home state. Raised among its swamps, coastlines, and reefs, he developed an early fascination with the ecosystems that make Florida so distinct.
His work spans land and water — documenting Florida's flora and fauna from the tangled mangroves and sawgrass prairies of the Everglades to the coral reefs and seagrass beds just offshore. Working primarily with natural light, Gibson approaches each image with patience, often waiting hours for a single fleeting moment.
He views photography not simply as documentation but as a form of advocacy — inviting viewers to slow down and truly see the wild places around them. His photographs have been featured in science journals, magazines, and books celebrating Florida's natural heritage.
